Mr. Blue Jay

You don't know how long I waited inside the French doors for a decent picture of this elusive little Blue Jay. Out of the 40 some shots I took, I couldn't get a single one of his beautiful back and tail feathers. As you can tell by this photo, he kept his good eye on me the entire time.

Patience pays off! The BlueJays are so fast, they are difficult to capture.

Gabriela, I would have surely given up! I am glad you stuck it out for my enjoyment of the picture!! Thanks - you are great!

Dear Creative Lady, I never knew you had made quilts! Are there anything you haven't done?! ;) You know, the dresses you have made for Betsy reminds me of a quilt made with cute little dresses on http://hollyholderman.typepad.com/holly_blog/2008/09/my-favorite-t-4.html
I have in mind to make a quilt like that for Gwen.

How very interesting...I have a stamped image on my table right now, ready to color, which features these Mexican Jays. Here, we have the big, noisy, vividly blue jays. It's interesting to see you have these lovely, more delicate jays in your part of the country.
